    10 Best Dark Spot Correctors

Let’s be real, dark spots are the uninvited guests who overstay their welcome after a breakout or a little too much sun. I’ve literally slathered, dabbed, and patted my way through hundreds of serums and creams promising to make them disappear. Some were a joke, some were okay, but a few? A few were actual magic in a bottle.

And because my bathroom cabinet looks like a skincare lab, I’ve done the work for you. From powerhouse acids that obliterate stubborn marks to gentle formulas that brighten without freaking out your skin, I’ve found the best dark spot correctors that actually deliver. These are the formulas I recommend to my friends, my mom, and now, you.

The Best Dark Spot Correctors of 2026

SkinMedica Even & Correct Dark Spot Cream

SkinMedica Even & Correct Dark Spot Cream

At $88, this little tube is a targeted weapon against the most annoying pigmentation. I’m talking about those deep, stubborn marks from old breakouts and even melasma that just won’t seem to quit. This isn’t your average brightener; it’s what you bring in when nothing else has worked.

The texture is a dream—it’s a smooth cream that glides right onto the spot you’re treating without feeling heavy or greasy. With tranexamic acid and niacinamide, it gets to work fading discoloration on a deeper level. My derm friends rave about this one, and after a month of consistent use on a particularly pesky sun spot, I totally get why.

The Downside: The bottle is frustratingly small for the price, so you have to be super precise with your application.

La Roche-Posay Mela B3 Serum Dark Spot Corrector

This $45 serum is a total gem, especially if you have a deeper skin tone and struggle with post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. It’s incredibly lightweight and sinks into the skin instantly, leaving behind a subtle, healthy-looking glow. No stickiness, no irritation, just pure radiance.

It’s formulated with a new patented ingredient, Melasyl, plus a healthy dose of niacinamide to tackle existing spots and prevent new ones from forming. I used this all over my face for a few weeks and noticed my overall complexion looked so much more even and bright. It feels like a tall glass of water for your skin, but with serious brightening power.

The Downside: The dropper can be a little messy and sometimes dispenses more product than you actually need.

Neutrogena Rapid Tone Repair Retinol + Vitamin C Dark Spot Corrector

Neutrogena Rapid Tone Repair Retinol + Vitamin C Dark Spot Corrector

For just $19, you get two of the most powerful ingredients for evening out skin tone: retinol and vitamin C. This drugstore find is a legit workhorse, especially if your skin leans oily or combination. It has a light, almost gel-like feel that absorbs in seconds.

The combination not only fades discoloration but also helps smooth out skin texture, which is a major win. It has a clean, fresh scent that isn’t overpowering at all. Seriously, for less than a fancy cocktail, you get a dermatologist-recommended formula that actually works.

The Downside: It’s got retinol, so if you’re new to it, you definitely need to start slow (like, twice a week) to avoid any redness or peeling.

    CeraVe Resurfacing Retinol Serum

At $19, this is my go-to recommendation for anyone dealing with the ghost of breakouts past—aka those red and brown post-acne marks. CeraVe just gets sensitive skin, and this serum is proof. It uses encapsulated retinol, which means it delivers the good stuff slowly, minimizing irritation.

Plus, it’s packed with ceramides and niacinamide to support your skin barrier while the retinol does its resurfacing thing. The texture is a light, milky lotion that feels comforting on the skin. I saw a visible reduction in redness and marks on my chin after about six weeks of consistent nightly use.

The Downside: This one is a marathon, not a sprint. You have to be patient and use it consistently to see the best results.

    SkinCeuticals Discoloration Defense

Okay, the $115 price tag is steep, I know. But if you’re fighting a losing battle against stubborn brown patches or splotchy post-acne discoloration, this is your nuclear option. SkinCeuticals doesn’t mess around, and this formula is clinically proven to be effective.

It combines tranexamic acid, kojic acid, and niacinamide to attack hyperpigmentation from multiple angles. The serum is watery and has a slight medicinal smell, but it absorbs completely. I used it on some sun spots on my cheeks, and they were noticeably lighter in just under a month. It’s an investment, but a worthy one.

The Downside: It’s incredibly expensive, which makes it a major splurge for most of us.

Avène Retrinal 0.1 Intensive Multi-Corrective Cream

Avène Retrinal 0.1 Intensive Multi-Corrective Cream

This $50 cream is a savior for my friends with reactive skin who thought they could never use a retinoid. It uses retinaldehyde (retinal for short), which is a step up from retinol in terms of efficacy but is famously gentle, especially in this super soothing Avène formula.

It has a rich, moisturizing texture that feels more like a night cream than a harsh treatment. I love that it tackles dark spots and fine lines while also hydrating my skin, so I wake up looking plump and even-toned instead of dry and flaky. It’s a perfect two-in-one for a simplified nighttime routine.

The Downside: It’s strictly for your PM routine, as retinoids make your skin more sensitive to the sun.

Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare Alpha Beta Universal Daily Peel Pads

Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare Alpha Beta Universal Daily Peel Pads

For $35, you get a 35-day supply of what I can only describe as an at-home facial. These pads are iconic for a reason. They use a blend of AHAs and BHAs to exfoliate away the dead, discolored skin cells sitting on the surface, revealing brighter, smoother skin underneath.

The results are almost instant. After just one use, my skin looks way more radiant and feels incredibly smooth. With consistent use, they do an incredible job of fading surface-level spots and improving overall texture, especially for my oily and acne-prone skin types.

The Downside: It’s a two-step system (one pad to exfoliate, a second to neutralize and treat), which can feel like a bit of a hassle when you’re tired.

First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Niacinamide Dark Spot Serum

First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Niacinamide Dark Spot Serum

This $42 serum is a great daily driver for anyone looking to gently brighten their overall complexion and prevent future spots. It’s powered by niacinamide, a true team player in skincare that’s known for being effective without causing irritation. It’s gentle enough for my most sensitive-skinned friends.

The texture is a lightweight, milky liquid that feels super hydrating and plays nicely under makeup. It has a very subtle pearlescence to it that gives you an immediate, pretty glow while the active ingredients work over time to even out your skin tone. It’s like an Instagram filter in a bottle.

The Downside: That pearlescent finish gives a dewy look, which might not be your vibe if you prefer a completely matte base.

Murad Rapid Dark Spot Correcting Serum

At $84, this serum is a splurge, but its fan base is massive for a reason. It’s designed for speed, working to visibly reduce the look of dark spots quickly without using hydroquinone. This is perfect if you have an event coming up or just lack patience (hi, it’s me).

I was so impressed by how fast this serum absorbs—it literally vanishes into the skin, making it amazing for oily types who hate feeling anything on their face. It layers perfectly into any routine, day or night. The clinical results are pretty wild, and users consistently report seeing a more even tone in just a couple of weeks.

The Downside: It’s definitely on the pricier side, placing it in the premium skincare category.

    Olay Vitamin C Brightening Serum

    Olay Vitamin C Brightening Serum

This $30 drugstore serum feels way more expensive than it is. It has this silky, lightweight texture with a subtle citrusy scent that makes my morning routine feel a bit more luxurious. It’s a fantastic option for tackling dark spots while also drenching your skin in hydration.

The combo of Vitamin C and Niacinamide is a brightening power couple. I noticed my skin looked dewier and felt bouncier right away, and with continued use, it helped fade some light spots on my forehead. It gives you that healthy, lit-from-within glow that we’re all chasing.

The Downside: The fragrance and active ingredients might be a little much if your skin is extremely sensitive or reactive.

What to Look For in a Dark Spot Corrector

Okay, so how do you pick your fighter? Look for powerhouse ingredients. Vitamin C is an amazing antioxidant that brightens and protects, while Niacinamide is the gentle giant that evens tone and strengthens your skin barrier. For tougher spots, look for Tranexamic Acid or Kojic Acid.

And then there are the retinoids (like retinol and retinal). These are the MVPs of cell turnover, meaning they speed up the process of shedding old, discolored cells to reveal fresh, even skin underneath. Just remember to start slow with them to avoid irritation.

But listen up: none of these products will work if you’re not using sunscreen every single day. The sun’s UV rays are what cause and darken spots in the first place. So, slathering on SPF 30 or higher every morning is non-negotiable if you want to see—and keep—your results. Think of it as protecting your investment!

  • 18 Best Oily Skin Sunscreens

    18 Best Oily Skin Sunscreens

If you have oily skin, you know the struggle. You apply sunscreen in the morning feeling responsible and glowy, but by noon, you look less “glowy” and more “I just dunked my face in a vat of fry oil.” Finding a sunscreen that doesn’t make skin greasy is a legit full-time job, and trust me, I’ve put in the hours.

I’m a beauty editor who has slathered, tested, and vetted literally hundreds of SPFs. My mission for 2026? To find the absolute best sunscreen for oily skin. I’m talking formulas that absorb in seconds, leave a matte finish, and actually play nice under makeup. No grease, no shine, no clogged pores.

So, after turning my face into a human science experiment, I’ve narrowed it down. These are the sunscreens that actually work, keeping you protected and shine-free all day long. Get ready to meet your new favorite oily skin SPF.

Best Overall Sunscreens for Oily Skin

La Roche-Posay Anthelios Clear Skin SPF 60 Dry Touch Sunscreen

La Roche-Posay Anthelios Clear Skin SPF 60 Dry Touch Sunscreen

This cult-favorite is just $35 and worth every single penny. It has this wild dry-touch technology that instantly absorbs oil and leaves my skin looking velvety matte. I wore this under a full face of foundation during a heatwave, and my makeup did not budge. Zero greasy breakthrough.

It’s specifically made for oily and acne-prone skin, so it won’t clog your pores or cause new breakouts. Seriously, my derm recommends this to everyone. It’s a non-negotiable for a non greasy sunscreen that actually protects.

The Downside: It has a slight, classic sunscreen scent when you first apply it, but it disappears in like, a minute.

EltaMD UV Clear Broad-Spectrum SPF 46

EltaMD UV Clear Broad-Spectrum SPF 46

At $38, this is the SPF you’ll see in every dermatologist’s and beauty editor’s cabinet. It’s so ridiculously lightweight, it feels more like a serum than a sunscreen. It blends in completely clear, whether you get the tinted or untinted version.

The secret sauce is niacinamide, which is amazing for calming inflammation and controlling oil. If you have oily, sensitive, *and* acne-prone skin, this is your guy. It never breaks me out and actually makes my skin look better over time.

The Downside: If your skin is on the combo side, it can feel a tiny bit drying after a few hours.

    Supergoop! Unseen Sunscreen SPF 50

For $38, you get the most unique sunscreen texture on the market. It’s a completely clear, silicone-y gel that glides onto skin and leaves behind a soft, natural-matte finish. It feels like a high-end makeup primer, blurring pores and gripping onto foundation like a dream.

I am obsessed with how this makes my skin look and feel. There’s zero white cast (because it’s invisible!) and it creates the perfect canvas for makeup. Plus, it’s totally oil-free and non-comedogenic, so your pores are safe.

The Downside: If you apply too much or don’t let it set for a minute, it can pill up under makeup.

Best Mineral Sunscreens for Oily Skin

ISDIN Eryfotona Actinica Ultralight Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50+

ISDIN Eryfotona Actinica Ultralight Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50+

Okay, it’s a splurge at $46, but this Spanish pharmacy brand knows what it’s doing. This is a 100% mineral sunscreen that feels like a water-light fluid. You shake it up and it comes out as a milky liquid that sinks in immediately with absolutely no white cast.

It’s packed with zinc oxide for protection and something called DNA Repairsomes that help repair existing sun damage. For my sensitive-skin girlies who still get oily, this is perfect. It’s gentle, effective, and feels totally weightless.

The Downside: The price is steep for the amount you get.

La Roche-Posay Anthelios Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50

Another winner from LRP, this $30 mineral formula is a godsend for anyone with rosacea or extreme sensitivity. It’s a super lightweight fluid that uses both zinc oxide and titanium dioxide for broad-spectrum protection.

It contains their signature thermal spring water, which helps absorb oil throughout the day. I found it gave my skin a soft-focus, matte look that lasted for hours. It’s gentle enough that it never stings my eyes or irritates my skin.

The Downside: It can sometimes pill if you layer it with the wrong moisturizer or primer.

Blue Lizard Sensitive Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50

This Aussie brand is a derm-fave, and for $15, it’s a total steal. This one is designed for days when you know you’re going to be sweating. It’s super water-resistant (for up to 80 minutes!) and won’t slide off your face the second you step outside.

Because it’s a mineral formula with zinc and titanium dioxide, it creates a physical barrier that stays put. It does a great job of keeping shine at bay, even during a workout. Perfect for beach days or outdoor runs.

The Downside: The texture is definitely thicker than the others, so you have to work it in a bit more.

Colorescience Sunforgettable Total Protection SPF 50

Colorescience Sunforgettable Total Protection SPF 50

At $45, this brush-on powder is my secret weapon for reapplying sunscreen over makeup. You know you’re supposed to reapply every two hours, but who wants to slather lotion over a perfect face of makeup? No one.

This mineral powder sunscreen makes it so easy. You just swirl and buff it over your face. Not only does it add more protection, but it also soaks up any midday oil like a dream, leaving you with a fresh, matte finish. I keep one in my purse at all times.

The Downside: It’s not meant to be your primary sunscreen application, it’s just for touch-ups.

Best Drugstore Sunscreens for Oily Skin

CeraVe AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30

You can grab this gem for just $15. It’s a moisturizer and sunscreen in one, which is perfect for streamlining your morning routine. It’s so lightweight and oil-free, it gives you just enough hydration without feeling heavy or greasy.

It has niacinamide to help calm your skin and control oil, plus ceramides to keep your skin barrier happy. It sinks in fast and doesn’t leave a white cast, making it a solid daily choice for oily or combination skin.

The Downside: The SPF 30 is a little lower than what most dermatologists recommend for daily use.

Eucerin Sun Clear Skin SPF 50 Face Sunscreen Lotion

This is an incredible find for about $20. It’s specifically formulated with oil-absorbing technology to give you a long-lasting matte finish. I was honestly shocked by how well it controlled my shine throughout the day.

It’s also non-comedogenic and designed for acne-prone skin, so it helps keep breakouts at bay while you’re protecting yourself from the sun. The texture is light and lotion-y, and it doesn’t feel sticky at all.

The Downside: It can be a little hard to find in stores sometimes, so you might have to order it online.

Trader Joe’s Daily Facial Sunscreen SPF 40

If you can get your hands on this $9 sunscreen, buy two. This is famously a dupe for the Supergoop! Unseen Sunscreen, with a similar clear gel texture that feels like a primer. It’s completely weightless and invisible on the skin.

It glides on so smoothly and leaves a velvety, shine-free finish that is perfect for oily skin types. It’s the best sunscreen for oily skin if you’re on a tight budget but still want that luxe, primer-like feel.

The Downside: It’s only available at Trader Joe’s, so availability is super limited.

    More Top-Rated Sunscreens We Love

Kosas DreamBeam Silicone-Free Mineral Sunscreen SPF 40

This clean mineral sunscreen is $40 and feels more like skincare. It’s packed with ceramides and peptides to hydrate and plump your skin, but the formula is silicone-free, so it doesn’t feel slick or greasy.

It has a peachy-pink tint that blends out sheer and helps brighten your complexion without a white cast. It leaves behind a beautiful, natural glow that isn’t sparkly or oily. It’s perfect for the “clean girl” aesthetic.

The Downside: If you want a truly flat matte finish, this isn’t it—it definitely gives a subtle glow.

    Cocokind Daily SPF 30 Sunscreen

For $25, this clean formula from Cocokind is a dream for summer. It’s a hybrid sunscreen, using both mineral and chemical filters, so it blends in super easily. It feels so lightweight that on really humid days, I can skip my moisturizer and just use this.

It contains banana flower extract to provide a little bit of moisture without adding any shine. The finish is sheer and natural, never greasy. A great pick if you’re looking for clean ingredients.

The Downside: Again, SPF 30 is on the lower side, so be sure to reapply if you’re out in the sun all day.

    Thinksport Safe Sunscreen SPF 50

This no-frills sunscreen is only $12 and is an absolute beast for active days. It’s designed for athletes, so it’s incredibly water- and sweat-resistant. The mineral zinc formula provides a matte finish that holds up, no matter how much you sweat.

It’s non-greasy, reef-safe, and doesn’t contain any of the questionable chemical ingredients. If you need a reliable, affordable sunscreen for sports or long days outdoors, this is a fantastic choice.

The Downside: The packaging is pretty basic and not exactly shelfie-worthy.

Badger Clear Zinc Sunscreen SPF 30

If you’re into organic skincare, you need to check this out for $18. This sunscreen uses clear zinc oxide, which rubs in way better than traditional zinc and leaves a soft, mattifying effect on the skin. It’s made with simple, organic ingredients that won’t irritate you.

The formula does a great job of balancing oils without clogging pores. It’s a great eco-conscious option for daily wear that keeps shine under control.

The Downside: It’s only SPF 30, so it may not be enough for intense sun exposure.

Paula’s Choice RESIST Super-Light Daily Wrinkle Defense SPF 30

At $39, this one is for the oily-skinned folks who also want some anti-aging benefits. It has a lightly tinted formula that evens out your skin tone while providing a beautiful soft matte finish. It feels incredibly light and silky.

It’s also loaded with antioxidants to help fight off environmental damage and signs of aging. It’s the perfect one-and-done morning product for mature yet oily complexions.

The Downside: The bottle is pretty small for the price.

What to Look For in a Sunscreen for Oily Skin

Finding the right oily skin SPF can feel like dating—you might have to try a few before you find “the one.” But there are a few key things I always look for on the label that will seriously increase your chances of success.

First, look for words like “oil-free,” “non-comedogenic” (which means it won’t clog pores), and “matte finish.” Formulas described as a “gel,” “fluid,” or “lotion” are usually much more lightweight than thick “creams.”

Ingredient-wise, mineral sunscreens with zinc oxide are naturally mattifying and can be great for sensitive types. For chemical sunscreens, look for formulas with niacinamide or silica, which are superstars at absorbing excess oil and keeping you shine-free. And remember, the best sunscreen is the one you’ll actually wear every single day!

  • 35 Best Tarot Decks

    35 Best Tarot Decks

Let’s be real: getting into tarot can feel like a whole thing. There are SO many decks out there, and they’re all gorgeous and promising to unlock your deepest secrets. But which one is actually right for you? Is it the one with the holographic edges or the one with the moody, artsy animals?

As your resident witchy shopping expert, I’ve spent an frankly embarrassing amount of time shuffling, pulling cards, and annoying my friends with readings to find the absolute best tarot decks of 2026. I’m talking about cards that feel good in your hands, have art that speaks to you, and actually help you make sense of your chaotic life.

So, whether you’re a total newbie just trying to figure out what the heck The Tower card means or a seasoned pro looking for a fresh vibe, I’ve got you. These are my favorite tarot decks that are 100% worth your money.

The OG You Need to Know

Before you dive into the deep end, you have to meet the deck that started it all. It’s the foundation for almost every modern deck out there, so knowing it is like learning the tarot alphabet.

    Rider-Waite Tarot Deck

    Rider-Waite Tarot Deck

This classic deck is just $22. If you’re going to learn tarot, you pretty much have to start here. The Rider-Waite is the gold standard for a reason—its symbolism is super clear and it’s the system that most guidebooks and online resources are based on. It’s like Tarot 101.

Honestly, once you get the hang of these images, you can read almost any other deck. The illustrations are detailed enough to give you strong visual cues without being overwhelming. It’s the OG for a reason.

The Downside: I’m just gonna say it: the art feels pretty dated. If you’re looking for a modern, inclusive, or minimalist vibe, this ain’t it. The colors are basic and the style is very… 1909.

Modern Decks With a Fresh Vibe

Okay, you know the basics. Now let’s get to the fun stuff. These are the decks that take the classic structure and give it a much-needed 2026 glow-up with inclusive characters, modern style, and relatable energy.

Modern Witch Tarot by Lisa Sterle

Modern Witch Tarot by Lisa Sterle

For $25, you can get a deck that feels like it was made for you and your friends. I’m obsessed with the art in this one. It’s vibrant, empowering, and packed with diverse characters that actually look like people I know. It’s the Rider-Waite system, but with fashion and representation.

The energy of this deck is just so confident and fresh. It’s perfect for readings about career, self-love, and navigating modern life. Seriously, the Queen of Wands in this deck is my personal hero.

The Downside: If you’re a strict traditionalist, the modern clothes and settings might be a little distracting. It’s very contemporary, for better or for worse.

The Light Seer’s Tarot by Chris-Anne

The Light Seer’s Tarot by Chris-Anne

This deck costs $25 and it gets you right in the feels. The imagery is so emotionally rich and intuitive, exploring both the “light” and “shadow” sides of life. It’s perfect for journaling and deep, soul-searching questions.

The people in these cards are incredibly diverse and full of life. I found it so easy to connect with the imagery and get intuitive hits almost immediately. It’s like having a conversation with your wisest, coolest friend.

The Downside: The interpretations are a little different from strict Rider-Waite, so if you’re trying to learn by the book, it could be a bit confusing.

The Wild Unknown Tarot by Kim Krans

The Wild Unknown Tarot by Kim Krans

At $40, this deck is a literal work of art. The minimalist, animal-based illustrations are stunning. Instead of people, you get these gorgeous ink-and-watercolor drawings of animals and nature that force you to rely on your own intuition.

I love using this deck when I feel stuck in my head. The lack of human figures makes you interpret the energy of the card rather than a specific scene, which can lead to some seriously profound insights. It feels very connected to the natural world.

The Downside: Because there are no people, it can be really challenging for beginners who are still learning the basic meanings of the cards.

Everyday Tarot Mini Deck by Brigit Esselmont

Okay, this little cutie is only $13! I keep this mini deck in my purse for tarot on the go. It’s perfect for a quick one-card pull while you’re waiting for your latte or need a little guidance during your lunch break.

The design is minimalist and modern, with simple keywords on the cards that make it super beginner-friendly. You don’t even need the guidebook half the time. It’s just a straightforward, easy-to-use tool for daily check-ins.

The Downside: The cards are tiny. Like, really tiny. If you have larger hands, shuffling can feel a little awkward and clumsy.

    Mystic Mondays Tarot

    Mystic Mondays Tarot

For $25, you get one of the most vibrant and visually stunning decks out there. The bold, geometric art and holographic edges are just *chef’s kiss*. This deck practically buzzes with positive, high-vibe energy.

It’s designed to help you start your week with intention, but honestly, its bright and cheerful vibe is perfect for any day you need a little pick-me-up. The colors are so electric, they make readings feel exciting and dynamic.

The Downside: The artwork is very stylized and non-traditional. If you learned on a Rider-Waite deck, you might have to squint a bit to see the connection.

Artsy Decks for Your Inner Mystic

For those of you who want your tarot practice to feel like a visit to an art gallery. These decks are all about the aesthetic, with dreamy, ethereal, and unique artwork that will inspire your intuitive side.

    Moonchild Tarot by Danielle Noel

    Moonchild Tarot by Danielle Noel

This one is a bit of a splurge at $50, but trust me, it’s worth it. The Moonchild Tarot is pure ethereal dreaminess. The cosmic, pastel imagery is perfect for connecting with your higher self and doing deep, spiritual readings.

The card stock is thick and luxurious, and the whole experience just feels magical. It’s one of the most beautiful tarot decks I own, hands down. It’s perfect for moon rituals and connecting with divine feminine energy.

The Downside: The imagery is very soft and subtle, which is beautiful, but sometimes the meanings can feel a little hazy if you’re looking for a blunt, straightforward answer.

Shadowscapes Tarot by Stephanie Pui-Mun Law

Shadowscapes Tarot by Stephanie Pui-Mun Law

At $24, this deck is for anyone who loves fantasy art. The watercolor illustrations are breathtaking, filled with fairies, mythical creatures, and enchanting landscapes. Each card is like a little portal to another world.

The art blends Asian and Celtic influences beautifully. If you’re a visual person, you can get lost in these cards for hours, discovering new details every time you look. It’s a truly immersive experience.

The Downside: The details are SO intricate that it can sometimes be hard to get a quick, clear read. It’s a lot to take in at a glance.

    Morgan Greer Tarot Deck

    Morgan Greer Tarot Deck

This deck, priced at $22, is like the Rider-Waite’s cooler, 1970s cousin. The artwork is based on the classic system, but the colors are way more saturated and the images are borderless, so you feel like you can step right into the scene.

The close-up perspective on the characters makes the readings feel super personal and intimate. I love the rich, expressive feel of this deck. It has a warm, vintage energy that’s really inviting.

The Downside: Because the images are so zoomed-in and full-bleed, they can feel a little overwhelming in a larger spread where you have a lot of cards out at once.

    Tarot of a Moon Garden

    Tarot of a Moon Garden

For just $20, you can step into a magical, moonlit world. This deck is so gentle and beautiful, filled with butterflies, unicorns, and mystical garden scenes. It’s perfect for sensitive souls and anyone who loves a good fantasy vibe.

The imagery is soft and inviting, which makes it a really comforting deck to work with, especially when you’re feeling a little vulnerable. It’s great for intuitive readings that focus on emotion and healing.

The Downside: The energy is so sweet and gentle that it might not be the best fit for questions that require a more direct or intense answer. It definitely lacks a certain edge.

Themed Decks for a Specific Vibe

Sometimes you want a deck that speaks to a very specific part of your personality. Whether you’re a practicing witch, a minimalist, or a vintage-loving comedian, there’s a deck for that.

    Witches Tarot Deck

    Witches Tarot Deck

Priced at $20, this deck is a must-have for anyone who identifies as a witch. It’s steeped in Pagan symbolism and modern witchcraft themes, making it an amazing tool for spellwork and rituals.

The borderless cards have these gorgeous silver edges that shimmer when you shuffle. The imagery is powerful and directly tied to Wiccan and Pagan traditions, which adds a whole other layer of meaning to your readings.

The Downside: The overall tone is quite dark and moody, which is a vibe for sure, but it might not be for everyone, especially if you prefer brighter, more cheerful decks.

Emerald Moonlight Tarot by Tarot MasterGuide

Emerald Moonlight Tarot by Tarot MasterGuide

This stunning deck costs $30 and it is so worth the hype. The nature-inspired, moonlit green and gold artwork is absolutely breathtaking. It feels incredibly premium and provides such gentle, intuitive guidance.

I found this deck super easy to connect with, even as a beginner. The imagery is clear but also has a mystical quality that encourages you to trust your gut. It’s one of the best tarot decks for new readers who want something that looks and feels special.

The Downside: This deck is so popular that it sells out constantly. If you see it in stock, you need to grab it immediately.

Tranquility Tarot Deck by Tarot MasterGuide

Tranquility Tarot Deck by Tarot MasterGuide

For $30, you can get a deck that feels like a deep breath. The pastel colors and minimalist design are so calming. I reach for this one whenever I’m feeling anxious or overwhelmed and need a clear, gentle message.

It’s another super popular deck that’s great for beginners because it’s so approachable and non-intimidating. The vibe is just pure, unadulterated peace. It’s like a spa day in a box.

The Downside: The energy is so soothing and subdued that it might feel a little too mellow for readings about high-drama situations or intense career questions.

    Housewives Tarot

    Housewives Tarot

This hilarious deck is a steal at $18. It reinterprets the classic tarot scenes with a campy, 1950s housewife theme. Think martinis, TV dinners, and perfectly coiffed hair. It makes tarot feel so relatable and fun.

Despite the humor, the readings are surprisingly on point. It’s a great way to approach everyday problems with a sense of levity. I love pulling this out when I’m reading for friends who are a little intimidated by traditional tarot.

The Downside: The whole thing is a bit of a gimmick. If you need to do a super serious, heavy reading, the humor might not land right.

    Osho Zen Tarot Deck

    Osho Zen Tarot Deck

At $25, this isn’t your average tarot deck. It’s based on Zen Buddhist philosophy and is designed to bring you into the present moment rather than focusing on the past or future. The cards have names like “Playfulness,” “Courage,” and “Awareness.”

The artwork is gorgeous, and the guidebook is full of profound wisdom. I use this deck when I’m feeling disconnected or need a mindfulness check. It’s less about prediction and more about perspective, which is so refreshing.

The Downside: This deck does not follow the traditional tarot structure at all. If you’re a purist or trying to learn the standard system, this will probably just confuse you.

How I Chose the Best Tarot Decks

I didn’t just scroll through pretty pictures online. I got my hands on these decks. I shuffled them, felt the card stock (is it flimsy? is it too stiff?), and did actual readings for myself and my very patient friends. I looked for decks with clear, evocative art that made it easy to connect my intuition to the card’s meaning.

My main criteria were art style, card quality, and overall vibe. A deck has to speak to you! The best tarot decks are the ones you actually want to reach for. Whether it’s the funny Housewives deck for a laugh or the dreamy Moonchild deck for a deep dive, your collection should reflect all the different parts of you.

Ultimately, choosing a tarot deck is a super personal decision. Trust your gut. If an image catches your eye and gives you a little thrill, that’s probably the one for you. Happy pulling!

  • 10 Best Hard Wax Beans

    10 Best Hard Wax Beans

Let’s be real, shaving is a full-time job with zero benefits. The razor bumps, the 5 o’clock shadow on your legs, the fact that you have to do it all over again in like, a day? I’m so over it. That’s why I fully committed to the at-home waxing life, and trust me, I’ve tried *everything*. I’ve dripped wax on my floor, I’ve made messes, and I’ve found the formulas that actually work.

Hard wax is the secret. Unlike soft wax, you don’t need messy strips. You just smooth it on, let it harden for a sec, and rip. It grabs the hair, not your skin, which means way less pain and irritation. After testing dozens of formulas on my own legs, bikini line, and even my poor, unsuspecting boyfriend’s back, I’ve narrowed it down to the absolute best hard wax beans you can buy in 2026.

The Best Hard Wax Beans for Smooth, Hair-Free Skin

    1. Satin Smooth Calendula Gold Hard Wax Beans

Satin Smooth Calendula Gold Hard Wax Beans

For $16, you can get the same wax your esthetician probably uses. This isn’t just a wax; it’s a salon-quality experience in a bag. It melts down beautifully and has a super low melting point, so you’re not waiting around forever or scalding yourself.

I loved how this stuff performed. The calendula and tea tree oil infusion felt calming, and it grabbed even my tiniest, most stubborn hairs without a fight. It sets quickly but not *so* quickly that you can’t get a perfect strip laid down. This is the wax you buy when you’re ready to get serious about your at-home game.

The Downside: It’s definitely on the pricier side for the amount you get. This is more of a splurge for special areas than an all-over-body wax if you’re on a budget.

    2. KoluaWax Hard Wax Beans

This big $35 bag is my go-to for tackling coarse hair, especially for a full bikini or Brazilian wax. It’s formulated with Brazilian Carnauba wax, which gives it this incredible grip on thick hair while somehow being gentle on the skin underneath. The “painless” claim is bold, but honestly, it hurt way less than other brands I’ve tried.

They have a few different formulas, but the bikini-focused one is legit. It sets up to be flexible, so it doesn’t crack or get brittle when you pull. Plus, they have a money-back guarantee, which just screams confidence.

The Downside: The branding can be a little inconsistent depending on where you buy it, which feels a bit weird. But the formula inside has always been solid for me.

    3. Wokaar Hard Wax Beans

If you’re a total beginner, just buy this $40 kit and thank me later. It comes with the warmer, applicators, and five different bags of scented wax beans, so you can figure out what you like. It takes all the guesswork out of getting started.

The wax itself is surprisingly good quality for a bundled kit. It melts evenly, applies smoothly, and has a nice, solid consistency that’s easy for newbies to handle. The scents are also genuinely pleasant and not overpowering. It’s a fantastic entry point into the world of hard wax for home use.

The Downside: While the initial kit is a great value, you’ll eventually have to buy refill bags, which adds to the long-term cost.

    4. Tress Wellness Hard Wax Beads

    Tress Wellness Hard Wax Beads

My sensitive skin girlies, this one is for you. At just $20, these lavender-scented beads are a dream for delicate areas like the bikini line or underarms. The formula is specifically designed to be gentle and it’s dermatologist tested and cruelty-free.

What I noticed immediately is the unique, almost jelly-like consistency when it’s melted. It cocoons the hair and makes the pull feel so much softer and less shocking to the skin. I had way less redness and irritation after using this compared to more aggressive formulas.

The Downside: That gentle, jelly-like formula takes a little longer to harden than other waxes. You need to have a bit of patience and let it set completely before you pull.

    5. GiGi Soothing Azulene Hard Wax Beads

GiGi Soothing Azulene Hard Wax Beads

GiGi is a classic for a reason, and this $15 bag of azulene-infused beads is perfect for a full Brazilian. Azulene is derived from chamomile, and it’s amazing for calming skin and minimizing redness right away. It’s like a built-in anti-inflammatory.

The wax is incredibly easy to work with. It applies in a thin layer, stays flexible, and doesn’t crack, which is a lifesaver when you’re working on larger areas like your legs. If you’ve ever had wax get brittle and break off in tiny pieces, you know how amazing a flexible formula is.

The Downside: Because it’s so pliable, it can be a bit stringy and messy if you’re not used to it. Have some pre-wax oil on hand to clean up your fingers (and maybe the floor).

    6. Lansley Aloe Hard Wax Beads

    Lansley Aloe Hard Wax Beads

This Amazon best-seller is a steal at $25 and works wonders on sensitive body parts. The low melting point (131°F!) means it’s ready to go quickly and feels warm and comfortable on the skin, not terrifyingly hot. The aloe infusion is a major bonus for keeping things calm.

I found this wax super easy to spread. It doesn’t set instantly, giving you plenty of time to lay down a perfect strip before it hardens. It’s effective on both fine and coarse hair, making it a great all-around option for legs, arms, and more.

The Downside: On really thick or stubborn hair, you might need a second pass. And like with most waxes, making sure your hair isn’t super long is key to getting a clean pull.

    7. Cirepil Blue Hard Wax Beads

    Cirepil Blue Hard Wax Beads

Okay, Cirepil is the queen bee of the waxing world, and for $22, you can see why. This is the #1 choice for professionals globally because it’s just so consistently good. It applies super thin, which saves product, and it shrink-wraps around hair for a flawless removal every time.

This is the wax I use when I need guaranteed results with less pain. It’s gluten-free, paraben-free, and works on literally all hair and skin types. You can use it on your face, your legs, your bikini line… everywhere. It’s the little black dress of hard wax.

The Downside: It’s so popular that there are a lot of fakes out there. Make sure you’re buying from a reputable seller to get the real deal.

    8. Starpil Coral Hard Wax Beads

At $25, Starpil’s Coral wax is designed specifically for sensitive areas. It uses a flexible polymer blend that makes it extra pliable, so it moves with the contours of your body. Think knees, ankles, and the bikini area.

This stuff is amazing because it stays soft even after it hardens. It doesn’t get brittle or crack, so you get a single, clean pull that removes all the hair in one go. The low-temperature application also makes it super comfortable for delicate skin.

The Downside: It’s formulated for coarse, thick hair, so it might not be the best choice for grabbing super fine peach fuzz on the face.

    9. Bella Verde Hard Wax Beans

For facial waxing, you need precision, and this $20 bag of hard wax beans delivers. It’s perfect for smaller, more delicate areas like your eyebrows, upper lip, or chin. The natural ingredients and calming lavender scent make the whole process feel less like a chore.

I was impressed by how well this gripped those tiny, annoying facial hairs without destroying my skin. The wax hardens just enough to create a clean edge for pulling, giving you that sharp brow shape you want. It left my skin feeling surprisingly smooth and not at all angry.

The Downside: The bag is on the smaller side, so this is definitely a face-and-delicate-areas wax, not one you’d use for your entire body.

    10. Yansu Hard Wax Beans

Looking for a solid wax that won’t break the bank? At just $15, Yansu is an amazing budget pick for beginners who want to try at-home hair removal. The quality is fantastic for the price point.

It melts down to a creamy, flexible consistency that’s very forgiving and easy to spread. I tested it on my legs and it removed hair effectively without much fuss or pain. It’s a great, no-frills wax that just gets the job done.

The Downside: It’s a lesser-known brand, so you won’t find a ton of reviews or history on it. But for the price, it’s totally worth a try.

What to Look for in Hard Wax Beans

When I was testing all these waxes, I paid close attention to a few key things. First, the melting point. A lower melting temperature means it’s ready faster and there’s less risk of burning your skin. Look for waxes that melt between 125-140°F.

Next up is flexibility. The best hard wax beans create a pliable strip that won’t crack or break when you pull it. A brittle wax is the enemy—it leaves little bits behind and is a total nightmare to clean up. Ingredients also matter. If you have sensitive skin, look for formulas with soothing additives like azulene, chamomile, aloe, or tea tree oil.

Finally, consider your hair type. Some waxes are powerhouses designed for thick, coarse hair (like for a Brazilian), while others are gentler and better suited for fine facial hair. Don’t be afraid to have two different types of wax in your beauty cabinet. Trust me, using the right formula for the job makes all the difference.

The editors who picked this called it straight-up nightmare fuel from creepypasta lore, and they’re not wrong. It’s made from a stretchy fabric that actually fits, so you look menacing, not messy. It’s perfect for lurking in dimly lit corners of the party.

The Downside: The one-size-fits-most design might be a squeeze or a little loose if you’re on the extreme ends of the body type spectrum.

Fashion editors love this kind of costume because it’s a flattering base for a truly horrifying clown transformation. It’s an easy and affordable way to tap into the scary clown trend without breaking the bank.

The Downside: The price is great, but the fabric might not hold up to a wild night of partying or multiple Halloweens.

How to Pick Your Perfect Fright

Okay, so you’ve seen the options. How do you choose the one that will cause the most chaos? First, think about your environment. A full-body morphsuit is amazing, but maybe not for an outdoor party on a hot night.

Next, consider your effort level. Do you want something that’s terrifying right out of the package, or are you ready to spend an hour doing gory special effects makeup? A scary jester costume can be a complete look on its own, while a carny clown outfit is more of a canvas for your artistic horror.

Ultimately, the best frightening costumes are the ones worn with confidence. Pick the monster, ghoul, or killer clown that speaks to you, and commit to the character. Now go out there and scare someone.

  • How To Read Tarot Cards 101

How To Read Tarot Cards 101

So, you want to learn how to read tarot cards? Awesome. Everyone thinks it’s some mysterious, psychic gift you have to be born with, but I’ll let you in on a little secret: you can totally do this.

Honestly, it’s less about predicting the lottery numbers and more about checking in with yourself. Think of the cards as a deck of 78 really honest friends who give you advice by showing you pictures. It’s a tool for reflection and intuition.

Don’t worry — it’s way easier than it looks. Let’s get you started.

Step 1: Pick a Beginner Tarot Deck That Clicks

Okay, first things first. You need some cards. Walking into a shop or searching online can feel like a tidal wave of options. There are decks with cats, decks with aliens, decks that are super minimalist… it’s a lot.

My best advice? Start with a deck that’s based on the classic Rider-Waite-Smith (RWS) system. Most books, guides, and online tutorials use its imagery as a foundation, which will make your life a million times easier when you’re looking things up.

The most important thing is to pick a deck whose artwork you actually like. If you don’t connect with the images, you’re just not going to feel inspired to use it. Find something that makes you feel curious and excited.

The Best Beginner Tarot Decks for 2026

To help you cut through the noise, I’ve pulled together a few of my favorite decks for anyone just starting out. You really can’t go wrong with any of these.

    Rider-Waite Tarot Deck

    Rider-Waite Tarot Deck

The Rider-Waite Tarot Deck costs $21.95. This is the OG, the deck you see in movies, and the one most tarot readers learn on for a reason.

It’s the foundational deck for modern tarot, and its symbolism is so clear and direct that learning the card meanings feels straightforward. Because it’s the standard, almost every tarot book or course references its imagery, so you’ll never be short on resources.

The deck comes with 78 fully illustrated cards, including all the Minor Arcana (which some old-school decks don’t have), and a little instruction booklet to get you going.

The Downside: The art was created over a century ago, so some people find the style a bit dated and lacking in diversity.

Modern Witch Tarot Deck by Lisa Sterle

Modern Witch Tarot Deck by Lisa Sterle

The Modern Witch Tarot Deck is priced at $26.99. If you love the classic RWS meanings but want a deck that looks like your world, this is it.

It takes the familiar scenes from the Rider-Waite deck and reimagines them with diverse, stylish, and modern characters. It’s vibrant, empowering, and just plain fun to look at, which really helps you stay engaged while you’re learning.

This one includes a hardcover guidebook, which is a nice step up from the little paper booklets, and sticks to the RWS system so all your study guides will still apply.

The Downside: If you’re a purist who wants a super traditional experience, the modern fashion and style might feel a little too contemporary.

The Light Seer’s Tarot by Chris-Anne

The Light Seer’s Tarot by Chris-Anne

You can get The Light Seer’s Tarot for $24.99. This deck is a huge favorite online, and it’s perfect for beginners who want to lean into their intuition.

The artwork is gorgeous, with a dreamy, boho vibe that’s emotionally expressive. It’s designed to help you explore both the “light” and “shadow” sides of yourself, and the included guidebook is filled with healing, empowering messages instead of just rigid keywords.

It’s based on the RWS system but encourages you to find your own meanings in the rich imagery, making it great for creative and visual learners.

The Downside: The symbolism is a bit looser than the traditional Rider-Waite, which can sometimes confuse beginners who are trying to learn by the book.

Guided Tarot for Seamless Readings by Stefanie Caponi

This fantastic guide costs $19.99. Okay, so this one isn’t a deck, but it’s the book I wish I had when I was starting out.

It breaks everything down in a way that’s super easy to understand, from card meanings to sample spreads and exercises to build your intuition. It’s like having a friendly teacher right there with you.

Reviewers love it because it’s practical and focuses on how to actually give a reading that flows, rather than just listing a bunch of memorized meanings.

The Downside: It’s just a book, so you’ll still need to buy a separate tarot deck to go with it.

Step 2: Get to Know Your New Cards

Please don’t try to memorize all 78 cards at once. I’m serious. You will overwhelm yourself and quit before you even start. That’s the most common mistake I see people make.

Instead, just get comfortable with your deck. When it arrives, open it up and just look through every card. Don’t worry about the “official” meanings yet. Which images do you like? Which ones feel a little weird? What stories do you see?

Here’s a simple practice: Pull one card every morning. Ask it, “What energy should I focus on today?” Look at the picture, notice the colors and characters, and decide what it means to *you*. Then you can look it up in your guidebook. This is way more effective than flashcards.

Step 3: Learn to Ask Better Questions

This is the secret sauce to a good reading. The quality of your answers is directly tied to the quality of your questions.

Tarot is not a magic 8-ball. It struggles with simple “yes/no” questions. Asking “Will I get that promotion?” is going to give you a confusing answer. It just doesn’t work that way.

Instead, ask open-ended questions that invite advice. Try rephrasing it to something like, “What can I do to improve my chances of getting the promotion?” or “What obstacle is standing in my way at work?” See the difference? You’re asking for guidance, not a locked-in prediction.

Step 4: Your First Reading (A Simple 3-Card Spread)

Ready to do a real reading? Let’s go! We’ll use the most trusted, easy-to-learn spread there is. It tells a clear story and is perfect for beginners.

First, get comfy and take a few deep breaths. Think about your open-ended question. Shuffle the cards in whatever way feels right while you focus on that question. Cut the deck, put it back together, and let’s pull three cards.

Lay them out in a row, from left to right.

    The Past, Present, Future Spread

This is the classic for a reason. It’s simple, direct, and gives you a narrative.

Card 1 (Left): The Past. This card represents the background of the situation. It’s the foundation of your question, showing the events or energies that led you to where you are now.

Card 2 (Middle): The Present. This is what’s happening right now. It highlights the current state of things, the main challenge, or the central theme you’re dealing with.

Card 3 (Right): The Future. This card shows the likely outcome or the direction things are heading if you stay on your current path. It’s not set in stone! It’s advice about what could be.

Now, look at all three cards together. How does the story flow from one card to the next? Does the energy change? Reading the story *between* the cards is where your intuition really comes alive.

    You’ve Got This

See? Not so intimidating after all. Reading tarot is a skill you build over time, just like learning an instrument. The more you practice, the more confident you’ll become.

Don’t ever worry about getting a reading “wrong.” Your interpretation is the right one for you in that moment. The cards are just a beautiful tool to help you hear that wise, quiet voice you already have inside.

Now go have fun with it. Be curious, be open, and trust yourself.

  • 12 Best Bed Sheets

    12 Best Bed Sheets

Let’s be real: Life’s too short to sleep on scratchy, sad sheets. I’ve spent more nights than I can count wrapped up in everything from bougie linen to budget-friendly microfiber to find the absolute best bed sheets for 2026. Think of me as your personal bed-tester, here to save you from another sweaty, uncomfortable night.

And I get it, you want that crisp hotel-bed feeling without dropping your entire paycheck. I’ve got you. This list has the best affordable bed sheets that feel anything but cheap, plus a few luxury splurges that are actually worth the hype.

So get ready to hit “add to cart.” Trust me, your bed is about to get a major upgrade.

The Best Bed Sheets of 2026, Tested

    Brooklinen Luxe Core Sheet Set

This set goes for $159 and is basically the little black dress of bedding. It’s a cult favorite for a reason. The cotton sateen feels so buttery smooth against your skin, but it’s still lightweight enough that you won’t wake up in a sweat puddle. Seriously, hot sleepers, this is your jam.

I love that they feel fancy but aren’t fussy. They held up perfectly after I ran them through the wash a bunch of times, and the little “long side” and “short side” tags are a lifesaver on laundry day. No more wrestling with your fitted sheet. It’s the little things, you know?

The Downside: If you have one of those super-tall, pillow-top mattresses, the fitted sheet might be a bit of a squeeze. It says it fits up to 16 inches, and it means it.

L.L.Bean Pima Cotton Percale Sheet Set

L.L.Bean Pima Cotton Percale Sheet Set

For $169, you can get that fresh, five-star hotel bed feeling right at home. These are for my people who love a crisp, cool sheet. They’re percale, so they have a matte finish and that satisfying crinkle sound when you move. Perfect for anyone who overheats at night.

Our lab tests confirmed what I felt—these things are strong. They barely pilled or shrank after washing, and they feel way more substantial than other sheets I’ve tried. They just feel well-made.

The Downside: Being percale, they definitely wrinkle more than their sateen cousins. If you hate wrinkles, you’ll need to break out the steamer or just embrace the casual look.

California Design Den 400 Thread Count Sateen Sheet Set

At just $50, these sheets are an absolute steal. I was skeptical about the quality for the price, but I was so wrong. They are surprisingly soft and durable, proving that great affordable bed sheets actually exist.

In our lab, they barely showed any signs of pilling, which is my biggest pet peeve with cheap sheets. They feel solid and well-constructed, not flimsy at all. If you’re on a budget but still want 100% cotton, this is the set to get.

The Downside: While they’re super soft for the price, they don’t have that over-the-top, melts-on-your-skin feeling of a super high-end luxury set.

Mellanni Iconic Collection Bed Sheet Set

Mellanni Iconic Collection Bed Sheet Set

Okay, these $35 sheets have a massive following for a reason. This is probably the most popular set of affordable bed sheets on the internet. They’re made of polyester microfiber, which gives them this insane, buttery-soft feel right out of the package.

The best part? They absolutely refuse to wrinkle. I pulled them out of the dryer and they looked perfectly smooth, no ironing needed. They also come in literally hundreds of colors, so you can match any vibe.

The Downside: Because they’re polyester, they aren’t as breathable as cotton or bamboo. If you’re a really hot sleeper, you might want to stick with natural fibers.

    Cozy Earth Bamboo Sheet Set

    Cozy Earth Bamboo Sheet Set

If you’re ready to splurge, the $350 Cozy Earth set is the definition of luxury. Yes, it’s an investment, but sleeping on these is a whole experience. They’re made from bamboo viscose and are the softest, silkiest, most incredible sheets I have ever touched. Oprah was not kidding about these.

They have this amazing drape and a cool-to-the-touch feel that’s just heavenly. Our testers gave them perfect scores across the board for feel, durability, and fit. Plus, a 10-year warranty is pretty wild.

The Downside: The price tag is definitely steep. It’s a treat-yourself item, for sure.

    Quince Bamboo Sheet Set

    Quince Bamboo Sheet Set

Want that amazing bamboo feel without the celebrity price tag? Quince is your answer at $130. These sheets are so silky and cool, making them an incredible find for the price. They give you that same luxe vibe as the super expensive brands.

They’re breathable, come in 15 gorgeous colors, and the fitted sheet stays put all night long. For anyone who wants to dip their toes into the world of bamboo bedding, this is the perfect starting point.

The Downside: If your mattress is on the thinner side, the fitted sheet might feel a little baggy.

    Saatva Organic Sateen Sheet Set

    Saatva Organic Sateen Sheet Set

For $200, this organic cotton set from Saatva is a dream for anyone with a thick mattress. I’m talking about those giant ones that regular fitted sheets just pop right off of. These have super deep pockets and a thick elastic band that grips your mattress and does not let go.

The organic sateen fabric feels incredibly smooth and has a subtle luster that looks so chic. They feel breathable and substantial, perfect for people who toss and turn and need their sheets to stay in place.

The Downside: It’s a bit pricey for a queen set, but the quality and fit are undeniable.

    Luxome Luxury Sheet Set

    Luxome Luxury Sheet Set

Another incredible luxury option, this $185 set from Luxome is all about cooling. The bamboo fabric is ridiculously soft and testers said it was a total game-changer for their sleep quality. They genuinely feel cool the second you slide into bed.

The fit is also amazing. Deep pockets and corner bands mean the fitted sheet is basically locked in place, even if you’re a restless sleeper. One tester literally said these sheets converted her to a “sheet person.” I get it.

The Downside: It’s a high upfront cost, but if you struggle with night sweats, it could be worth it.

    Cultiver Linen Sheet Set

    Cultiver Linen Sheet Set

At $250, this is for the person who loves that effortless, slightly rumpled, coastal grandma aesthetic. This isn’t just bedding; it’s a whole mood. The European flax linen has a gorgeous texture that feels so airy and breathable.

Linen is amazing for hot sleepers, and the best part is that it just gets softer and better every time you wash it. It’s an investment, but the quality is unmatched for that authentic linen feel.

The Downside: They can feel a bit stiff right out of the box. You have to be patient and wash them a few times to get them to that perfect, soft state.

    Parachute Percale Sheet Set

    Parachute Percale Sheet Set

Parachute’s $190 percale set is another win for lovers of crisp sheets. They feel thick and durable, like something you’d find at a high-end boutique hotel. They have a cool, matte feel that’s just so refreshing to slip into at night.

I’m also obsessed with their pillowcase design, which has a back-envelope closure so your pillow never peeks out. It’s a small detail that makes a huge difference. Testers noted they softened up really nicely after the first wash.

The Downside: Like most high-quality percale, they are a little stiff right out of the package before you wash them.

    Slumber Cloud Performance Sheet Set

This $269 set is basically high-tech sleepwear for your bed. It’s made with a special fabric that absorbs and releases heat to keep your body at the perfect temperature all night. If you and your partner are constantly fighting over the thermostat, you need these.

Testers raved about how cool the fabric felt and how well it wicked away moisture. No more waking up sticky. The corners also have great elastic, so everything stays secure.

The Downside: The Tencel and viscose blend isn’t quite as strong as 100% cotton in lab tests, so you’ll want to be a little more gentle with them.

JCPenney Wrinkle Guard 400 Thread Count Sateen Sheet Set

I love a good department store find, and at $60, this set is a gem. It’s a fantastic option for someone who wants that smooth, drapey feel of sateen and hates, hates, *hates* wrinkles. The wrinkle-guard finish actually works.

This is a solid, no-frills set that delivers on its promises. The sateen feels smooth, the price is right, and the quality is reliable for everyday use. A great choice for a guest room or if you just need a dependable backup set.

The Downside: They don’t feel quite as premium or silky as sets made with long-staple cotton.

What to Look For in Bed Sheets

Okay, so how do you choose The One? It really comes down to the feel you’re going for. If you love that crisp, cool, straight-from-the-hotel-dryer vibe, you’re a percale person. But if you want something silky, soft, and with a little bit of a sheen, sateen is your girl.

Don’t just stick to cotton, either! Bamboo is ridiculously soft and amazing for cooling, while linen has that effortlessly chic, slightly rumpled look that just gets better with every wash. Microfiber is a great affordable bed sheets option if you prioritize softness and wrinkle-resistance.

And honestly, don’t get too hung up on thread count. A 400-thread-count sheet made with high-quality fibers will feel a million times better than an 800-thread-count sheet made with cheap, short fibers. It’s all about the quality of the material, not just the numbers.

  • 63 Best Rom-Coms of All Time

63 Best Rom-Coms of All Time

Let’s be real. Sometimes you just need a movie that delivers the warm fuzzies, a good laugh, and a ridiculously satisfying kiss in the rain. That’s where the best romantic comedies come in, and honey, I’ve watched *a lot* of them. My Friday nights have been dedicated to this research for you.

From the fast-talking dames of the 1940s to the awkward, relatable messes of today, a great rom-com is an art form. It’s about more than just a meet-cute and a grand gesture. It’s the banter, the chemistry, and that “omg, just kiss already!” tension that keeps us coming back.

So, I’ve done the hard work of sorting through the classics, the cult faves, and the newest hits to bring you the absolute best of the best. Get your popcorn ready and prepare to cancel your plans. Trust me, these are the movies you’ll want to watch over and over again.

The OG Classics You Have to See

Before dating apps and ghosting, there was screwball comedy and sizzling on-screen chemistry. These are the foundational texts, people! The movies that literally wrote the rules of romance that we still follow today.

    The Philadelphia Story

You can rent this absolute gem for just $3.99. It stars a literal dream team of Katharine Hepburn, Cary Grant, and James Stewart, and the script is just… chef’s kiss. It’s so sharp and funny, you’ll forget it came out decades ago.

This is the blueprint for the “woman caught between two amazing men” trope, and honestly, no one has done it better since. It’s smart, sophisticated, and the romance feels earned. It’s a classic for a reason.

The Downside: It’s in black-and-white, which might be a dealbreaker if you need your movies to pop with color.

    His Girl Friday

For $3.99, you can experience the fastest dialogue in film history. Seriously, Cary Grant and Rosalind Russell talk over each other so fast you might need subtitles to keep up, but that’s what makes it so fun.

The whole plot revolves around a newspaper editor trying to win back his ex-wife (and star reporter) by sabotaging her new engagement. The chemistry is electric, and the banter is second to none.

The Downside: The gender dynamics are definitely a product of their time. It’s a bit dated, to say the least.

    When Harry Met Sally…

    When Harry Met Sally...

Grab this icon for your permanent collection for $14.99. This is *the* movie that asks the age-old question: Can men and women really be just friends? Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan are perfect as the leads who spend 12 years debating it.

Nora Ephron’s script is pure perfection, full of lines you’ll be quoting for weeks. And that deli scene? Iconic. It’s the ultimate New York fall movie and feels so incredibly real.

The Downside: If you’ve seen literally any rom-com since, you’ll probably guess the ending from a mile away.

    Annie Hall

    Annie Hall

You can own this Oscar winner for $14.99. This isn’t your typical meet-cute romance. It’s a smart, funny, and sometimes painfully honest look at a modern relationship, complete with fourth-wall breaks and non-linear storytelling.

Diane Keaton’s performance as the quirky, stylish Annie Hall is everything. It’s the kind of movie that makes you think about your own relationships, but like, in a good way. It even won Best Picture, which is a huge deal for a comedy.

The Downside: It’s impossible to separate the art from the artist, and Woody Allen’s personal life makes this a complicated watch for many.

    Pretty Woman

It’s $19.99 to own this fairy tale, and it’s worth it for the shopping montage alone. Julia Roberts became America’s sweetheart overnight as the charming escort who captures a billionaire’s heart. It’s pure escapism.

The chemistry between Julia Roberts and Richard Gere is off the charts. It’s a total rags-to-riches fantasy with a killer soundtrack that still holds up. Big mistake. Big. Huge!

The Downside: The whole concept is pretty problematic if you think about it for more than five seconds.

    Modern Faves We’re Obsessed With

Okay, let’s fast forward a bit. These are the films that have redefined the romantic comedy for a new generation. They’re fresh, funny, and often have a lot more to say than just “I love you.”

    The Big Sick

Rent it for $3.99. This movie is based on the real-life love story of Kumail Nanjiani and Emily V. Gordon, and that authenticity shines through. It’s so funny and so, so heartfelt.

It tackles cross-cultural relationships, family pressure, and a serious health scare with both humor and incredible depth. The supporting cast, especially Holly Hunter and Ray Romano as Emily’s parents, are absolutely fantastic.

The Downside: It gets pretty heavy and emotional, so it’s not exactly a light-and-fluffy watch.

    Palm Springs

    Palm Springs

This one’s a must-own for $14.99. A time-loop movie that’s actually a rom-com? Sign me up. Andy Samberg and Cristin Milioti are stuck reliving the same day at a wedding, and their chemistry is just *perfect*.

It’s a super fresh take on a familiar concept, managing to be both hilarious and surprisingly deep about relationships and existential dread. A truly original film that completely revitalized the genre.

The Downside: The whole time-loop thing can be a little niche if you’re not into sci-fi concepts.

    Rye Lane

A $3.99 rental fee is a small price to pay for this much joy. This movie is a vibrant, stylish walk-and-talk through South London with two people reeling from bad breakups. It’s an absolute delight from start to finish.

The energy is infectious, the visuals are stunning (hello, fisheye lens!), and it just feels so real and modern. It perfectly captures that giddy feeling of finding a new connection when you least expect it.

The Downside: Some of the slang and cultural references are very specific to the UK, so you might miss a few jokes.

    Crazy Rich Asians

Own it for $14.99. This movie isn’t just a great rom-com; it was a cultural moment. The story of an NYU professor who discovers her boyfriend is from an insanely wealthy Singaporean family is pure, decadent fun.

The cast is incredible, the fashion is to die for, and the locations are breathtaking. It hits all the classic rom-com beats while also offering a look into a world many of us have never seen. And the mahjong scene? Chills.

The Downside: The celebration of extreme wealth can feel a bit materialistic and over-the-top at times.

    The Ones We Quote Non-Stop

You know the ones. The movies that have fully infiltrated our group chats and daily vocabulary. If you don’t know at least three lines from each of these, you have some homework to do.

    The Princess Bride

Rent this fairy tale for $3.99. It’s got fencing, fighting, torture, revenge, giants, monsters, chases, escapes, true love, miracles… what more could you want? It’s a perfect blend of adventure, comedy, and heart-melting romance.

It’s endlessly quotable (“As you wish,” “Inconceivable!”) and just pure fun. It’s a postmodern fairy tale that winks at the audience without ever losing its sincerity. A true cult classic that everyone loves.

    The Downside: It’s arguably more of a fantasy-adventure than a straight-up rom-com, but we’re counting it.

    Clueless

    Clueless

As if you wouldn’t buy this for $14.99! This brilliant update of Jane Austen’s *Emma* set in a ’90s Beverly Hills high school is iconic. Alicia Silverstone as Cher Horowitz is a fashion-forward, well-meaning force of nature.

The social commentary is so sharp, and the dialogue is legendary. It perfectly captured a moment in time, but its humor and heart are totally timeless. You’ll be saying “Whatever!” for days.

The Downside: The 90s slang is so specific that it can feel like a bit of a time capsule.

    Bridesmaids

For just $3.99, you can rent the movie that proved women can be just as funny (and gross) as men. Kristen Wiig co-wrote and stars in this hilarious and surprisingly emotional film about the chaos of being a maid of honor.

This is so much more than a wedding comedy. It’s about female friendship, feeling lost in your thirties, and yes, a truly unforgettable food poisoning scene. The entire cast is a powerhouse of comedic talent.

The Downside: If you’re not a fan of crude or gross-out humor, some scenes might be a little much for you.

    Moonstruck

This passionate comedy is only $3.99 to rent. Cher (who won an Oscar for this!) plays a pragmatic widow who falls for her fiancé’s hot-headed, one-handed younger brother, played by Nicolas Cage at his most unhinged.

It’s a loud, loving, and hilarious tribute to a big Italian-American family in Brooklyn. The movie is just bursting with life, passion, and some of the most romantic speeches ever. Snap out of it!

The Downside: The accents are very, *very* thick, which can be a little distracting at first.

    Groundhog Day

You can buy this classic for $14.99. Bill Murray is a cynical weatherman forced to relive the same day over and over again in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania. What starts as a nightmare becomes a chance for him to become a better person and win the heart of his producer.

It’s one of the cleverest scripts ever written, managing to be both laugh-out-loud funny and genuinely profound. It pioneered the time-loop genre and remains the absolute best example of it.

The Downside: By its very nature, the plot is extremely repetitive, which might test some viewers’ patience.

    Roman Holiday

You can rent this dreamy escape for $3.99. Audrey Hepburn, in her Oscar-winning role, is a princess who escapes her royal duties for one day to explore Rome with a handsome American reporter, played by Gregory Peck.

The entire movie is filmed on location in Rome, and it’s pure magic. The chemistry between Hepburn and Peck is undeniable, and it’s just the most charming, enchanting film you’ll ever see.

The Downside: The ending is more realistic than your typical fairy tale, so prepare for a bittersweet feeling.

How We Chose the Best Rom-Coms

Look, my “For You” page is basically just clips from these movies, so you could say I’m an expert. But we also looked at the hard data—critical acclaim, audience scores, and cultural impact. Basically, is it still being quoted in memes in 2026?

The most important factor, though, was the rewatchability. A truly great romantic comedy is one you can put on whenever you need a pick-me-up. It’s like a cozy blanket and a glass of wine in movie form.

Ultimately, this list is a celebration of love in all its funny, awkward, and wonderful forms. So whether you’re a fan of classic banter or modern meet-cutes, there’s something here that’ll make you believe in love… or at least in a really great movie night.
